Being the best parent isn’t about c-sections or home births or adoptions.

Being the best parent isn’t about breast fed or bottle fed.

Being the best parent isn’t about vaccinating or not vaccinating.

Being the best parent isn’t about strollers or ergo carriers or moby wraps.

Being the best parent isn’t about cloth diapers or disposable diapers.

Being the best parent isn’t about organic whole foods or lunchables.

Being the best parent isn’t about screen free or iPad time.

Being the best parent isn’t about beds made and wrinkle free clothes.

Being the best parent isn’t about working or staying home.

Being the best parent isn’t about swim lessons or sports teams or dance classes or play dates.

Being the best parent isn’t about home-school or public school or private school or Montessori.

Being the best parent isn’t about free range or helicopter parenting.

Being the best parent is about loving your child and making sure they know they are loved every single day.

Being the best parent is about smiles, hugs, giggles, and butterfly kisses. It is about wanting to be the best parent you can be to your child and knowing that none of us has it all figured out.

The best parents wonder if they’re doing it right. The best parents wake up each day ready to try and learn and shift and grow. The best parents know it looks different in each home.

Simply put, the best parents love their children and all of the peripheral decisions (the bottles the diapers the schooling…) are made out of the overflow of that love based on the unique make up of that family.

And if you’re reading this and wonder if you’re the best parent to your sweet little one… if you care that much… the answer is yes. Yes you are.
